Lifetime Achievement Award - George Day

George Day has been a part of Salty Dawg from it’s founding by Bill and Linda Knowles more than a decade ago. As a long time, blue water cruiser, circumnavigator and marine publisher, George’s contributions to SDSA helped the group become the force within the cruising community that it is today with its many rallies and countless educational webinars. George has been a member of the leadership team for many years and this award recognizes his commitment to the group and the cruising community.

“It is fitting that this award go to George as he moves into an emeritus role and the group announces it’s first ever trans-Atlantic rally to the Azores. His contribution to SDSA over the years can not be measured.” Said Bob Osborn, past president of SDSA.
