READ ABOUT OUR 2025 EVENTS FOR MORE FUN

All sailors — past, present, and future — are invited to join our Salty Dawg Rendezvous Events. These events are a great way for Dawgs to learn from seasoned Dawgs and have a great time.  As always, our volunteers are terrific. They make the Rendezvous Events fun and informative for everyone who attends.  These are the events that we do in a typical year, and dates are provided for most.  Check back here and on the calendar to see which of these we will be able to hold this atypical year.  If you would like to plan and host a Rendezvous Event, click here. FEBRUARY 13 - 20, 2025
P.A.Y.S. SALTY DAWG RENDEZVOUS – Portsmouth, Dominica 

Combine exploration of the natural beauty of the island with volunteer efforts to an island project. Usually each night brings social gatherings, cookouts, pot-lucks and other creative evening gatherings on the beach. Get ready for lots of fun! Invite your cruising friends and join us for all or part of the week.

FEBRUARY 26 - March 4, 2025
MARTINIQUE CARNIVAL – Forte de France, Martinique 

Enjoy all the festivities and excitement of Pre-Lent extravagance as Martinique dances in the street with mind-boggling costumes and music.  Salty Dawg events are impromptu as there is so much going on in town, but we meet up and wind down with each other as the extravaganza continues.   

 

MARCH 3 - 12, 2025
NANNY CAY BVI RENDEZVOUS – Nanny Cay, Tortola, BVI

Nanny Cay wants to win you back and is pulling out all the stops to bring you to the BVI including on-site custom clearance in/out, discounted dockage, and specially priced hotel rooms.  Nanny Cay will host a Welcome Party and a Farewell Dinner Event.  The rendezvous includes a cruise to Virgin Gorda  Sound and The Bitter End for a Beach Day extravaganza.

MARCH 29 - APRIL 2, 2024 (2025 details coming soon)
BEQUIA RENDEZVOUS – Port Elizabeth, Bequia

Watch as the local boats race in this annual regatta.  Enjoy the activities and celebrations around this fun-filled competition.  Gather with the Dawgs for excursions and good times.   
 

APRIL 26 - MAY 2, 2024 (2025 details coming soon)
EXUMAS RENDEZVOUS – Bahamas 

Opening event at the Staniel Cay Yacht Club followed by a cruise up the Exuma chain. Snorkel the Thunderball grotto.  Pet the pigs, pet the sharks, bring champagne to Rachel’s Bubble Bath, and walk on disappearing islands. Join us each night for a free happy hour on the beach.

SOUTHERN CHESAPEAKE RENDEZVOUS
Hampton, VA

The Southern Chesapeake Rendezvous is a great gathering of Salty Dawgs, friends, and interested sailors. Sailors trade sea stories and talk about their upcoming cruising adventures. Members starting off on the Downeast Rally will be there as well. Bull Island Brewing, 758 Settlers Landing Rd, Hampton, VA .

MIDWEST RENDEZVOUS

Come to Stream's End on Waloon Lake, Petoskey, Michigan for the Midwest Rendezvous, hosted by Joddy and Matt Perry (sv Exuberant)!  Activities and fun are guaranteed.  And (of course) Salty Dawg camaraderie. Their cottage will hold 4 couples and numerous hotel options are within 10 minutes.  If coming by boat, we would recommend Bay Harbor Lake Marina, just 10 minutes away.

Notice: Mexican Train Domino games are apt to erupt at any time during the event.

ANNAPOLIS RENDEZVOUS, Annapolis Elks Lodge 

Join us for the Annual Salty Dawg Annapolis Rendezvous, sponsored by David Walters Yachts. Enjoy a congenial gathering of Salty Dawgs and friends at the Annapolis Elks Lodge, 2 Pythian Drive, Edgewater, MD, with drinks and dinner.  We are excited to announce that Sheryl and Paul Shard from Distant Shores will be the presenters for the evening.
