President's Special Citation

This award is presented by the president of the organization in recognition of an individual that has gone above and beyond in supporting the president during his/her term.  This award is presented at the discretion of the outgoing president. 

2024 Recipient - Jo Ella Barnes

Bob Osborn, past president of the Salty Dawg Sailing Association presented Jo Barnes with the first ever “President’s Special Citation” for her three years of work in supporting the office of the president.   

“While there are dozens of volunteers that make the Association the success that it is, Jo’s support of me during my term as president was unprecedented, from organizing and managing countless board and committee meetings, as well as taking charge of a bewildering mix of tasks to keep the organization functioning.  Jo’s work made the demanding position of President manageable.  I cannot begin to say how important her contribution was to me and Salty Dawg.  Thank you Jo…”
